Why Learn How to Complain in Polish? Complaining is a surprisingly useful skill in any language! Being able to express dissatisfaction in Polish will help you sound more natural, confident, and in control. In Poland, people often complain about everyday things like the weather, public transport, or high prices. But sometimes, you’ll need to make a formal complaint (reklamacja) — for example, when something you paid for isn’t working properly. In this lesson, you’ll learn the most important Polish phrases for complaining — both informally (narzekanie, marudzenie) and formally (składanie reklamacji).
Don’t worry if you don’t understand everything right away. The most important thing is to focus on key phrases and try to remember them. Some of my students listen to the recording two or three times—each time, they understand more and more! Key phrases you might find useful:
