🧠 Polish Grammar Tips: Using "napiwek" in Sentences🔹 Noun: napiwek (tip )Gender: masculine

Singular nominative: napiwek
Meaning: a small amount of money given for service

1. Bez napiwku – Without a tip
  • bez always takes the genitive case
  • So, "napiwek" → "napiwku" (genitive singular)
✅ Example:
Kelner był niemiły, więc wyszliśmy bez napiwku.
(The waiter was rude, so we left without a tip.)

2. Co z napiwkiem? – What about the tip?
  • z (meaning "with" or "about" in this context) also takes the instrumental
  • In this case, it behaves like an idiomatic expression: „co z…” often leads to instrumental case
✅ Example:
Zjedliśmy, było super… co z napiwkiem?
(We ate, it was great… what about the tip?)

3. 10 procent napiwku – 10 percent of the tip
  • Polish uses the genitive case to show part of something
  • "10 procent" → needs "napiwku" (genitive singular) to say “10 percent of a tip”
✅ Example:
Zostawmy 10 procent napiwku.
(Let’s leave 10 percent of a tip.)
