In this lesson, you’ll practice shopping dialogues in Polish while imagining you’re shopping for your partner! 

Through this fun and simple conversation, you’ll learn how to:

Kasia:  Podoba mi się kolor! ( I like the color!)

Tomek: Hmm… co myślisz? (Hmm… what do you think?)

Kasia: Myślę, że jest idealna!  (I think it's perfect! )

Tomek: Jest trochę droga… (It’s a little expensive…)

Kasia: Proszę! (Please!)

Tomek: No dobrze… ale nie kupujemy nic więcej! (Okay… but we’re not buying anything else!)

Kasia: Zobaczymy… (We’ll see…) 😉

​This short dialogue takes place after an expensive meal at a restaurant. Kasia, who enjoyed the food, asks Tomek if it was worth it. Tomek, shocked by the high bill, declares that this is the last time they spend so much and insists they need to save money. Kasia, however, remains playful and unconvinced, replying with a teasing "We’ll see…", suggesting that another splurge might still happen. 

Kasia: No i co? Było warto? (So...?  Was it worth it?)

Tomek: To jest ostatni raz… Musimy teraz oszczędzać pieniądze! (This is the last time… We need to save money!)

Kasia: Zobaczymy… (We’ll see…) 😉

Kasia: Fajne zakupy! Mamy wszystko! (Great shopping! We have everything!)

Tomek: Kasia… to chyba trochę za dużo… (Kasia… I think it’s a little too much…)

Kasia: Nie! To tylko najważniejsze rzeczy! (No! These are just the essentials!)

Tomek: Ale to jest trochę drogo… (But it’s a bit expensive…)

(Tomek liczy ostatnie monety przy kasie – Tomek counts his last coins at the register)

Kasia: Spokojnie, Tomek! To były fajne zakupy! (Relax, Tomek! It was great shopping!)

Tomek: To jest ostatni raz… Musimy oszczędzać! (This is the last time… We need to save!)
